Author Visits 

 M is for Mackinac: Michigan Social Studies -- $200

Students will hear M is for Mackinac read aloud. Then, they will take time to investigate plants, animals, & natural resources native to Michigan, using examples from the book, as well as a variety of hands-on nature for children to explore. A memory match game and Q & A included. Approximately 1 hour. This is typically done with 3rd grade or upper elementary studying Michigan. NOTE: This session is interactive and should be done with no more than 50 students at a time.

Path to Publication (K-4) -- $200

Students will hear M is for Mackinac read aloud. Then, they will learn about the steps to publication. Students will learn the process from first drafts to publication to sharing your book with the world! This may also include a look at my current work in progress. Q & A included.        Approximately 45 minutes.

Raising Readers -- $200

This inclusive presentation is a great fit for literacy nights and parents of emerging readers. I will use my background as a reading specialist, homeschool parent, and children’s author to help you bring reading into your home in a warm and inviting way. I also use research to help families understand the best, time-tested ways to help their children become successful and engaged readers. Parental participation is encouraged! This presentation will end with a reading of my book. Handout included.
Approximately 45 minutes. 

Half Day Rate- $500 (3 presentations max)
Full Day Rate- $700 (4 presentations max)

Signed & personalized copies of M is for Mackinac will be available at a discounted price. Each school will receive a signed and donated copy for their library.
